How to Book a Safari in Tanzania
Tanzania is arguably the best country in Africa to go on a safari. The varied landscapes, large populations of animals, and the mild climate make it an incredible destination. It’s also home to the Serengeti and the Great Migration which are a must-see.
If you have your heart set on traveling to Tanzania for a safari, you might be wondering the best way to start booking your adventure.
This guide will give you a step-by-step guide on how to book your dream safari.
Decide on Your Duration
Safaris range in duration from one day to ten days, or even more. The most popular places to visit on a Tanzania safari are Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti.
Depending on your schedule, you can visit all of them or just one of them!
Before booking your safari, you need to determine your schedule. If you’re also climbing Kilimanjaro, you’ll first want to choose your route for the climb and then decide how many extra days you have for the safari.
All our safari itineraries are conveniently published on our website so you can easily see all your options.
Determine Your Budget
How much money you have to spend will greatly determine which safari package you choose. Sit down with your travel partners and determine the budget for the safari so you know exactly how much you have.
This will allow you to choose the right safari for your pocket and start saving accordingly. While determining a budget might not seem glamorous or exciting, it takes away a lot of the stress of money while traveling if you know how much you have ahead of time.
There are safaris for every budget so let us know roughly how much you want to spend and we can provide you with some different options.
Consider Upgrades and Add-Ons
We can also customize any of your safaris in case you want to spend more time in one place or less time in another place.
Also, let us know if you want to upgrade any of your accommodations as there are many luxury options throughout the national parks.
All safaris also have several different add-ons that you can select for an additional price. Many people like to add on a Serengeti hot air balloon ride. You can also add on a flight package if you prefer to fly to Serengeti from the other parks rather than make the drive.
Let us know what your dream safari looks like and we can make it possible for you.
Contact Us

Pay Your Deposit

The deposit can be paid conveniently on our website with a credit or debit card. You can also send us a bank transfer if that’s easier for you.
We will stay in touch with you from the time you book your safari until you depart your home country. Feel free to contact us anytime with questions or concerns.
Start Working on Your Passport Visa
Make sure your passport has at least 6 months of validity and one blank visa page.
Most travelers need a visa to travel to Tanzania. Some passport holders can get the visa on arrival while others might need to apply online beforehand. Make sure you know the requirements for your country and plan ahead.
Make an Appointment for Vaccinations
Discuss with your doctor which vaccines, if any, are necessary and right for you. You might also want to consider taking malaria medication while in Tanzania. Let your doctor know where you are traveling and they can discuss all options with you.
It’s also beneficial to ask them for some basic medications, like those that help with traveler’s diarrhea.
Get Packing
As your safari approaches, you will need to start shopping for clothes and different items that you might not already have.
Neutral and earth colors are the best choice for your safari. Consider buying pants and shirts that are dark green, tan, beige, etc.
Avoid bright colors as they can startle the animals. Dark blue and black should also be avoided as they attract tsetse flies.
Don’t forget your bug spray and sunglasses.
Of course, you’ll need all the stuff you always travel with like plug adapters, your passport, international bank card, camera, etc.
Send Us Your Flight Information and Make Your Final Payment
About a month before your departure to Tanzania, you will want to pay your remaining balance for your safari.
Make sure we also have your flight information so we can have the driver waiting for you at the airport.
All Set For Your Tanzania Safari Adventure!
